Location Data (optional): If you grant permission, we use your device's GPS coordinates solely to calculate accurate prayer times for your location. Your location is:

• Sent to our server to fetch prayer times from nojumi.org (the official astronomical center of Ayatollah Sistani's office)
• Never stored on our servers
• Never shared with third parties
• Never used for tracking or advertising

If you deny location access, the app defaults to Mecca as the location for prayer times.

No Personal Information: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information. No account or login required.

Data Storage

All app data — including your preferences, selected location, and cached prayer times — is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We do not maintain any user databases or cloud storage of personal data.

Third-Party Services

NoorHilal retrieves prayer time data and moon sighting information from nojumi.org — the official astronomical center affiliated with Ayatollah Sistani's office. This connection transmits only your approximate coordinates for calculation purposes. No personal identifiers are sent.

Analytics and Tracking

We do not use any analytics services, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or behavioral information.

Children's Privacy

NoorHilal does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed for general use and does not contain age-restricted content.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
